GST Registration

Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a comprehensive indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services in India. GST registration is mandatory for businesses whose turnover exceeds the prescribed threshold limit.

  1. Voluntary Registration:
    • Businesses with turnover below the threshold limit can opt for voluntary GST registration. Voluntary registration allows businesses to avail of the benefits of input tax credit and present themselves as registered entities.
  2. Types of GST Registration:
    • There are different types of GST registration, such as Regular, Composition, Non-Resident, and Casual Taxable Person, each applicable based on the nature of business activities.
  3. GSTIN:
    • Upon successful registration, a unique Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) is issued to the registered entity. GSTIN is a 15-digit alphanumeric code that is used for all GST-related transactions.
